A mobile valeting company covering Edinburgh & the Lothians, we have vans fully equipped with tools, product, electricity & water.
Kyle started Kyle knox valeting (KKV) back in 2016 whilst working in a garage doing tyre fitting, after a 5 year stint with the same company I had always dreamed of having my own business of some sort! I used to clean my own car every week without fail & then quickly moving onto doing family & friends cars are realising it was enjoyable and a satisfying job.
I then bought my first van and started doing it after work at the tyre garage and also weekends, and before we knew it we built up a clientele big enough to go full time!
After taking the leap and going self employed for the first few months I was on my own working away & even though I didn’t have work every day I still got up at 6am to get out there looking for it!
My brother Robbie was due to leave school & was helping me out on some bigger jobs here and there & before we knew it he had left school and was out working full time at KKV, myself & Robbie had been doing it together for a few years and built the business up to a point we were busy 7 days per week! Scared to take a day off 🤣!
Fast forward a few years and it was time take on another team member to help with the work load, so we brought in Gary, after 2 weeks of Gary joining KKV we got hit with COVID!
We had to close the doors for a few weeks and where very unsure of what was going to happen with the business, luckily as you can tell things have went extremely well
Finally we were aloud to get back out on the tools, Robbie & Gary where out in the van cracking though the work during Covid & things got busier and busier, so busy that my dad (Mikey) was coming out to help here and there whilst he was off as his work was still closed during Covid, then again you know where this is going…Mikey joined full time!
Business is absolutely flying and we had a great, close team together covering more work than ever, but we still had a 6 week wait time! With 4 vans on the road, where we made the decision it’s time to grow again!
Where then Jamie has joined the team, after having worked with Jamie since I was 16 it wasn’t a hard decision to bring him on board knowing he had a back ground with cars.
